Robert A. Marchman: Executive Vice President, Legal Section FINRA Market Regulation Department received the first “Elizabeth Pathy Salett Award” (founder of NMCI)

Mr. Marchman, a diversity leader and youth advocate, held a series of positions at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), including head of the Division of Enforcement and Risk, prior to joining the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).  He was appointed executive vice president for NYSE Regulation in 2005, the first African-American to hold an executive vice president position at the organization.

He served as chair of the NYSE Diversity Council, leading its efforts to implement significant programs including company-wide diversity training, a supplier diversity initiative and community outreach and financial literacy efforts. Mr. Marchman is active in civic and community affairs, focusing on issues of equality, financial literacy and advancement of educational opportunities for youth.

Christopher Lewis,  Deputy General Counsel at Edward Jones was honored by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of the St. Louis Business Journal 2010 class of Diverse Business Leader award winners at a Luncheon and featured in September 10, 2010 issue of the St. Louis Business Journal. Chris is one of the founders of the Buttermilk Club and SIBMC and has long been a driving force in diversity efforts on Wall Street.  It is an honor well deserved.

The Award honored "accomplishments at the world’s financial epicenter and recognizes a commitment to transforming the financial industry with a focus on inclusiveness" and financial literacy. Robert  is one of the founders of the Buttermilk Club and SIBMC and has Chaired the Diversity Counsel for the NYSE for several years.
